Vacant Positions - For People with experience on Superyachts
Superyacht Deckhand
Starting Salary and compensation :
100,000 – 200,000 depending on experience plus tips
Free flight tickets, uniforms, meals, and accommodation
Typical day when guests are on-board
The main responsibility is to ensure that the owner and guests have the best possible experience whilst on-board the yacht, the exterior is kept immaculate. All this is achieved by the delivery of high quality service. Some of the duties include:
Cleanliness of the yacht-wash downs
Tender Driving
Setting up water sports equipment
Assisting with berthing the yacht
Rope Work
Use of Anchors
Assisting Stewardess and Chef when needed
Keeping a bridge-watch whilst at sea
Drinks and Cocktail service
Ensuring Safety
Typical day when no guests are on-board
Normal working day is 8 till 5 with most weekends off. Duties may include:
Cleanliness of the yacht-wash downs
Stainless polishing
Waxing
Basic Engine room maintenance
Other duties that may be required:
Yacht Maintenance during refit periods
Sanding and taping up for varnishing or painting, caulking, filling.
Deck care
Continued learning of yacht maintenance, operations and systems-line handling, tender driving, navigation, safety, water sports
Qualifications
Male
Experience in SuperYacht industry (If not, please check out our training)
Well presented
Good command of spoken and written English
Friendly, intelligent, and hard working
Willing to travel and relocate abroad
